KnightScroller - Devlog Update: Main Menu, Transitions, and Options
Hey everyone! I've been hard at work learning and working on other games than KnightScroller, but I'm excited to share some of the latest updates with you.
Main Menu
I've added a brand-new main menu to the game, giving players a clean and intuitive way to jump into the action. From the main menu, you can start a new game, access the options menu, or quit the application by pressing escape.
Transitions
Smooth transitions between scenes have been implemented, providing a more polished and professional feel to the game. When navigating from the main menu to the game, or from the options menu back to the main menu, you'll notice seamless animations that help tie the experience together.
Options Menu
An options menu has been added, allowing players to customize their experience. Within the options menu, you can adjust the volume of both music and sound effects independently. This gives you full control over the audio balance to suit your preferences.
Additionally, you can now use the Escape key to quickly return to the main menu from anywhere in the game. This makes it easy to access the options or quit the application without having to navigate through multiple screens.
I'm really excited about these new features and I can't wait for you all to try them out. As always, please let me know if you have any feedback or suggestions. I'm constantly working to improve the game and your input is invaluable.
Happy gaming!
