Tiny Front is a small turn-based tactics prototype: you are Orange, the computer is Blue, and the board is meant to stay readable.

Move. Fight. Capture. Build. End turn. That’s the loop.

What’s in this build

  • Tutorial + a short 5-map campaign (Open Plains → Harbor Hold)
  • Random / seeded skirmish for endless rematches
  • Units: infantry, tanks, artillery, planes, boats (boats unlock on water-port maps)
  • Cities, HQs, factories, income, and capture
  • Fog of war for Orange (Blue still “cheats” like a classic campaign AI)
  • Pixel UI, Kenney fonts, short briefings with a little attitude

How it plays

  1. Click an Orange unit — blue tiles are move, red tiles are attack
  2. Infantry shoot NESW; tanks shoot all 8 adjacent tiles
  3. Artillery is range 2–3 and cannot fire after moving
  4. Capture with infantry (C / Wait). Neutral buildings take 2 ticks; enemy-owned take 3
  5. Build from owned empty factories (and boats from water ports)
  6. End turn with E

Win by wiping Blue or capturing their HQ — except Harbor Hold, where you capture the center flag and hold it for 3 of your turn-starts.

Controls

  • Mouse — select / move / attack / UI
  • Space / Enter — wait
  • C — capture (when valid)
  • E — end turn
  • Esc — pause
  • Build hotkeys: I infantry · T tank · A artillery · P plane · B boat

Notes

This is an early public build. Expect rough edges. No online multiplayer, no CO powers, no Nintendo IP.

Art, UI, fonts, and audio by Kenney (CC0).

Inspired by classic turn-based tactics. Not affiliated with Nintendo or Advance Wars.
